Envelopes And Boxes

Clear Tape Can Be Very Useful

If you make your own envelopes or boxes, 1/4″ wide double-sided tape is a great way to put them together and to seal them. It’s plenty strong enough for normal mail handling.

1/4″ wide double-sided tape is great for sealing handmade or any other envelopes that come without a glue strip.

Since the tape is clear it’s a perfect choice for sealing clear plastic envelopes.

Collage

Frosted Effect

Remove backing film from one side of double-sided tape sheet. Cover the back of an image with it. Cut the tape sheet to conform to the shape of the image. Leave backing film on. Turn image over and repeat on the front. Remove the backing film. Cover entire front with clear micro-beads. It makes the image look frosted.

 

Scrapbooking And Stamping

Tuxedo

Lay down a border of 1/2″ wide double stick tape and remove backing film. Carefully lay 1/4″ wide strip of double stick tape down middle of first piece (leave backing paper on 1/4″ strip). Pour embossing powder over. Dump and heat. Remove paper from 1/4″ wide tape. Pour contrasting color of embossing powder over. Dump and heat.

Confetti Relief

Lay down a border of 1/2″ wide double stick tape and remove backing film. Place confetti on tape. Cover with embossing powder, dump and heat with a heat gun. Remove confetti (don’t burn yourself). Add second color of embossing powder. Dump and heat.

Sandbox

Lay down a border of 1/4″ wide double stick tape and remove backing film. Cover with sand. Press sand down. If you sift your sand, apply the larger granules first, then the finer dust.

Magic Lace

Lay down a border of 1″ wide double stick tape and remove backing film. Please a strip of delicately patterned lace over it. Cover with ultra fine glitter. Remove lace. Pour complementary color of glitter over.

Microbeads or Glitter Border

Lay down a border of 1″ double-sided tape. Peel off the backing film and dip the card into a container full of micro-beads or glitter. Press beads or glitter firmly to tape.

Foiled Tape

Lay down a border of 1/4″ wide double-sided tape. Peel off the backing film. Place inexpensive gilding leaf over tape. Burnish well and use a soft brush to remove any extra leaf.

Layed Cards

When layering cards, use 1/4″ wide double-sided tape to put them together.

Protect A Stamped Image

Stamp and color an image. Cover with double-sided tape sheet. Cover with clear embossing powder. Dump and heat.
