A Christmas Carol
Etched

The book looks almost like silver if you polish off all the colors the etchant leaves. A flex-shaft is perfect for the job.

On this book I left the colors the etchant left (greens, mostly), and left the toner resist from the etching process and then put the cover in our Patinating Solution for just a few seconds. It gave the book a beautiful finish that Dickens would have loved!

This is a close-up of the bell on the bottom of the cover. I was trying to show the detail that you can get.

In your kit you'll get the entire novel A Christmas Carol to bind. It is a simple straight stitch (in one hole and out the next -- nothing fancy, though you can fancy it up if you'd like). The book is printed on heavy 70 lb. paper for durability and a long life.

Just look at that glorious Victorian font! It's printed on the acetate and on the title page of the book.
