1/16" Brass Eyelets
Short 1/16" eyelets in 3 colors!

These solid brass eyelets are so tiny and useful! The long ones are great for shrink plastic, leather or for stacks of paper. The short ones are for paper and cardstock (perfect for card making and doll making). The beauty of these is that they are so tiny! Use them as eyes on funky dolls, or make your shrink plastic and paper dolls articulated at the arms, legs and neck. They can be patinated or soldered. They take a 1/16" hole.

Long Brass 1/16" Eyelets

The long eyelets are perfect for going through shrink plastic too!

Simple eyelet-setting instructions

Drill a hole in your material
Put the eyelet through the hole
Turn the material over and place it on a cutting mat or similar material
Insert the eyelet tool into the back of the eyelet
Pound the tool gently with a hammer until the eyelet flares out
Keep tapping until the eyelet's back looks very similar to its front
Remove the tool and gently give the eyelet a tap or two with the hammer to completely crimp it down over the material

1/16" Long Aluminum Eyelets
These solid aluminum eyelets are so tiny and useful! The long ones are great for shrink plastic or for stacks of heavy papers. The beauty of these is that they are so tiny! Use them as eyes on dolls, or make your shrink plastic and paper dolls articulated at the arms, legs and neck. They take a 1/16" hole.

We are out of short 1/16" eyelets in aluminum, but we will have them in the same size in nickel-plated brass very soon.

Extra Long Eyelets  (~ 100/pkg-sold by volume)
We have ours custom made because we know that eyelets made for paper won't work on a book. They are just the right length for going through book board or heavy leather! The ones you usually see just aren't long enough. Since our eyelets are made with a brass base, they look great torched or patinated. Use with our 1/8" Better Eyelet Tool. They take a 1/8" hole (3mm tip on Japanese Screw Punch).

They are all brass based so they take wonderfully to heating with our Miniature Blow Torch or oxidizing with our Oxidizing Solution (except the black).

3/16" Eyelets (~75/pkg.)
These larger diameter eyelets are great for larger holes. You can fit a round key ring through one (what a great book binding), and larger fibers can be threaded through them. Use with our 3/16" Better Eyelet Tool.
Solid brass so they can be patinated or soldered. They take a 3/16" hole. Eyelets are ~.10"/2.6mm under the flange and they are .183"/4.6mm OD.

All eyelets were measured with a caliper. Slight allowances should be made for differences in plating thickness. We cannot be responsible for eyelets ordered incorrectly.

Better Eyelet Tool in 2 sizes!
See the nubby at the end? It goes down into the hole in an eyelet and makes all the difference in the world. No more oddly shaped or split eyelets! Use with your hammer. The Better Eyelet Tool now comes in the good old 1/8" size and in the larger 3/16" size. Both sizes have the nubby and work wonderfully

1/16" Eyelet Setting Tool
The perfect tool for the job! Use this little setter and your hammer to set Long and Short 1/16" Eyelets (works with both aluminum and brass).

Don't miss our e-x-t-r-a  l-o-n-g eyelets in copper, black, silver and brass!

My favorite surface for installing eyelets is a cutting mat. It has a little give so that it doesn't flatten out the eyelet but is strong enough to take the abuse. A copper or brass hammer is the best tool for hammering the Eyelet Tool, but a steel hammer works fine too.

Brads

Black

These simple-to-use brads come in great colors and have a million uses! Use them in your wedding invitations, on cards, in artist's books and in  scrapbooking. Simply poke a small hole into your paper or cardstock, poke the brad through and then bend the legs back. They're great for the center of a paper clock and can even be used around the office.

Snaps and Rivets
Snaps
Want to keep your journal closed? Making a glasses holder with a snap? Use these small 4-part snaps. Use the Better Eyelet Tool above and your hammer to easily set these into your journal. Note, these snaps work best with materials about an 1/8" or thicker. Need instructions for installing snaps? They are here.

Rivets
Use these 2-part rivets for affixing a tab closure to your leather books. If you are working with ~1/8" material our rivets are great for holding everything together. They have a "double cap" structure meaning that that are beautiful on the inside and the outside of your journal. They are easy to use with your hammer.
